Like when as children we instinctively made (innocent) comparisons with what others did, or comparisons made by adults perhaps not even too constructive, under which a hint of envy might lurk… It triggered Grandma Victoria’s phrase “boil our pot well,” meaning mind your own business 😄
I always interpreted it as focus on yourself, look around but the challenge is first of all with yourself.
To each his own interpretation.
