A sort of mercau de su bixinau (neighbourhood market in Sardinian language), the Santa Chiara market was built on the remains of an old convent of Clarisse nuns that was destroyed during the bombings that hit the city hard in 1943.
Recently renovated, now it appears with a modern and neat design, but its function as a reference point for the tasting of quality food and wine products guaranteed by its exhibitors remains unchanged. They welcome us among smiles, voices, fragrances and vivid colours as they have done for over 60 years.
During the guided tour you will get to know the intimate atmosphere of the Santa Chiara market and in the refreshment area you will taste its delicacies.
The itinerary lasts about 1 hour and 30 mins.
The difficulty of the itinerary is medium-low considering a few steps and slight inclines.
However, comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended.
Groups are deliberately small to ensure the quality of the experience and the safety of all participants.
